The self-titled debut release of Toronto-based band
'El Blotto Twangueros' has a spontaneous approach associated with jazz music, while embracing the orchestration of vintage film scores and exotica. The album also touches on influences from West African and Latin American music.
Fronted by guitarist/producer Tom Juhas, 'El Blotto Twangueros' debut release is a collection of original material composed by Juhas, Bret Higgins (bass) and Max Senitt (drums), plus mangled re-imaginations of classic pop tunes by The Beatles, Everly Brothers and surf/exotica favourites.
